We love Lucy and you will too. This girl is a Snowshoe/Siamese/Himmy mix and if that combo sounds beautiful to you, trust us you can't imagine how pretty she is until you meet her. AND she's a delightful cat. Spayed, all shots, FIV/AIDS/LEUK "negative" and gets along with other cats. Hurry this one won't last.

Bruno was found at a garbage dump site in rural Kentucky and taken to a local shelter with whom the HVHS partners. We received the email plea to help this boy found starving and scavenging for food. That's no way for a gentleman to live. Bruno is best as the only dog. If you are, or know if any Boxer-lovers, please refer them to the HVHS. Thank you!

This little guy is a Schnauzer mix (we have to say "mix" because we have no papers to prove his provenance). "Finnie" is perhaps 14 months of age, super playful, hypoallergenic and a rescue from Kentucky. Could he be the love of your life?

This little southern belle recently arrived from Kentucky too. She is a mini-Schnauzer perhaps mixed with a Yorkie and completely divine!

<2 year old male Terrier Mix and you would think we stole him from Broadway ... he's the quintessential Annie Dog! He weighs <20# is considered hypoallergenic due to his soft wire coat. This dog is extremely portable and full of energy, good with people of all ages and other dogs too. Just a delightful pup the HVHS rescued through our partner shelter in Kentucky. Killian is scheduled to be neutered on Feb. 2nd

Here is another dog we rescued from Kentucky who is due to arrive at our headquarters on Sat., Jan. 2, 2016. He is a Labrador/Basset mix and weighs approximately 30#. His age is estimated at 5-6 months.

Joy is a 5-6 month old female Pointer mix the HVHS rescued from a Kentucky municipal shelter. She is due to arrive at our facility on Sat., Jan. 2, 2016. Although the picture appears that she is black and white, the rescuers in Kentucky tell us she is the color of espresso coffee and cream!
